all my brake lights arnt working....but my running lights work? how the hell do i fix this? i checked all the fuses and they all seem to be fyne

There is a brake light switch on the pedal... give that a shot...you should have power going in constantly and coming out when the circuit is open (pedal pushed down..)

If you have correct power then Check for broken wire near the lights themselves... Brake signal wire could possibly be broken..OR it could just be bulbs... (crazier things have happened..)


Do you have blinkers??

yes i have blinkers and running lights, just no brake lights

so they light up just not brighter when you hit the brake?

if thats so then its possible that the bulbs are bad

yeah ur right about it not brightening up but i already went and baught new bulbs and well....still nothing lol its annoying

ok...so i looked and umm wheres the switch exactly? lol and what the hell does it look like? is it a black box with a little button poping out or sumthing Evil or Very Mad this brake issue is annoying lol i hope its the button..ill look really hard tomorrow

I don't know the details of the Grand Cherokee, but usually it is mounted up near where the brake pedal pivots. It has a button that comes into contact with the pedal when it is in the up position. You can check it by shorting the two wires connected to it. If the brake lights turn on when you do that, you have a bad switch.
