I currently own a 98 TJ sport with a 1" body lift. I am planning to eventually add a 4" suspension lift with some 33x12.50 tires but in the mean time I would like to run the widest 31" that will fit without rubbing, I plan to run 15x10 rims, how much backspacing should I use, so that I donít need to buy new rims when I switch to 33's?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Not sure if it helps much, but Im currently running 33x12.50s with 4.25-inchs of backspacing on a 8-inch rim and at full turn I would rub my tire on the control arm. I added a washer to bothsides on my steering stops and now I dont rub on the control arms.

Question why do you want to run 15x10 rims? Nearly everybody I wheel with runs 15x8's and they dont have any problems with the tire unseating off the rim. I think if you go with a 10-inch rim and if you air down you could loose a bead.

I agree...can't go wrong with 3.75" backspacing.
