If anyone has had this happen or has any ideas that would be great.
I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport with about 50K on it. I just got it about 4 months ago and it has been running fine until now. Within the last week my oil pressure gauge has been fulxuating. When I first bought it, there was not movement at all. Now when I first start the engine it sits at about 55 or 60 and will stay that way while I am driving. If I slow down or am idling when the engine it warmed up the pressure will drop down to about 20. This went on for about 3 days, I had checked the oil and had enough and then about a day or two ago, when the engine was warmed up and I would stop, the pressure would drop and I would hear a ticking or a rattle.
I assume this is oil not reaching all of the engine (since the pressure is down), but I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what they did or if its not a problem.
Any help would be great, thanks.
