I replaced my starter this past weekend. I'm still skeptical of the battery. Past couple days, I've been slightly slower starting. Tonight, before I left work, I checked the voltage on my battery. It showed between 12.1V-12.2V. I get in and start the car. Or at least, I tried to start it. It turned over slowly a few times, and then tick-tick-tick-tick-tick of the starter. Dang it. Got one of my coworkers to give me a jump. (Didn't think to check battery voltage after I first tried cranking it.) Cranked right up, good and strong. I did check the voltage after I got jumped and was running. 13.8V-13.95V. What it usually runs. I confused. My connections at the starter are good and tight. I'm gonna check the connections going away from the starter tomorrow. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?! Ideas?!

Sounds like the battery to me. When the engine is running, the alternator is putting out 13.8V...not the battery. Even a bad battery can read 12 volts, but it's amps that are going to turn the engine over, not voltage.
