find a zj with the 4wd shifter that says 2wd 4hi N 4lo or 2wd 4part time 4 hi n 4 lo

if you find one of those cases in a grand with a v8 your a guarantee fit

look in the grand cherokee forum about a tcase swap

yeah i kno i want the 231 so it would be 2wd-4HI-N-4Lo Very Happy i dont want no part time crap...plus didnt swampy switch to 231 cause they are better for the v8
unless im wrong i dunno....and yeah ive seen the write up from him seems pretty good...i was just woundering if i could actully pull one from a cherokee or sumthin....but yeah ill just look for a t-case out of a zj around my age and see how it goes

thanks guys...ill let u know what happens once i get the tranny fixed and save up enough for the 4.5 RE lift ....im sure ull hear more from me cause of questions rofl

it should work its the same case, but i would say find one out of a zj because some of the cherokees used a 242 and with your experience, no offense, you could get the wrong one, with a zj your pretty much guaranteed a fit
