I finished putting new bearing assembly on passenger side, and ujoints. There is a good leak from the end of the axle tube though. The diff should only drain to the level of the axle tube, but as soon as in drive it I think it will leak more from expansion. how bad of a fix is this?> should I just get the axle seals done ata shop? easter jeep safari is this weekend!@@

Is this the front or the rear? Since you did the bearing assembly and ujoints, it sounds like the front...but you say it's a D35.

If it's the front it sounds like bad inner seals (the outer seals are only meant to keep dirt out of the axle tube). To change the seals, you'll need to drop the carrier.

If it's the rear, it could be either the inner or outer seals...or it could be both.

yeah, sorry, was in such a rush, even remember telling my self to go back and fix that but....
anyway so it's the front. I am pretty sure i must have bumped it when sliding the shaft back in, never leaked before. So i need to get in the diff and take out the carrier? I ahve never worked inside my diffs, is that something I can do? and the seal just presses in, so special tools? guesing I'd need to slide axle shaft out again..thanks
