First of all I want to start by saying this may or may not be the famed door issue. I just got my 2000 GCL back from an engine and Tranny rebuild. Everything works great. However my friend noticed that the directional button on the climate control unit appeared to have suken into the console about half way, even though it worked FINE Rolling Eyes . We decided to take the panel off and just "adjust" the knob so it would be level with the others. Well easier said than done for us. After realizing how complicated it was we decided leave well enough alone. We put it all back and now the system has gone crazy. 90% of the time it will not work at all. Meaning no matter what position i put any knob with the A/C on or off there is no airflow. The only airlfow I get is from the vent and it is blowing onto the windshield. Sometimes when i turn the knob it will make a really ba sounding clicking noise. As if the A/C is cutting on and off about 3-4 times a second. So I am not sure what I need to do. I just spent alot of money with all the engine work and i sure dont want to spend any unnecessary cash on this if it is something simple. Could it have been put together wrong by the mechanics upon replacing the engine, doesnt seem likley to me?? Or is this just coincidence and its the dreaded door deal? Thanks for your help in advance!

Got me..

But I would start by taking the AC controls back out and making sure its plugged in properly and hooked up the way it should be..

That would be a good start anyway..
