Hi, I drive a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited, and lately itís been having some strange electrical problems. 1st, the left blinker doesnít work when the headlights are on. It lights up but does not blink. I have to manually make it blink. When the headlights are off, the blinker will work, but it makes my radio lights and the odometer light flash in sync with the blinker. Itís rather annoying. 2nd, the heated seats stopped working. The passenger side works from time to time but the driverís side is dead. And one last thing Ė the rear liftgate (is that what you call it?) is jammed. I canít get it open no matter what I try.

If anyone has any helpful ideas I would really, really appreciate it. I love my Jeep, I want to fix these problems ASAP!

Sounds like a grounding issue on the electrical side. It may be worth making sure the correct bulbs are installed and seated properly on the offending directionals.

As for the lift gate, try pushing it down and toward the vehicle while lifting on the handle. That's how I have to get mine open.

Over a year agao I was driving home, went to roll down my window (power window) and the Jeep shut off! Shocked

It would not start back either, had to get it towed. Sad

Finally had a shop look at it, they reran the power wire to the fuse block. Did alot of cleaning in that area(located under the windshield washer tank).

If you have gotten mud & water in & around this area, I would suggest cleaning this area with WD40 or some kind of electrical fluid. Look for damaged wires.

Good luck
