I bought my jeep on ebay, and so far it's doing great, but it's got the simple guage setup w/ only the speedo and gas. I'm gonna swap out them for the complete guages. THing is I ended up getting a guage cluster from a wrangler. will these still work, and does anyone have tips on how to do this without killing the jeep?

Thanks

last i checked the gauge cluster from a Yj looks nothing like the cluster that comes with a XJ.best thing to do is to get the cluster from the same years or group of years as youres then its a simple unplugging of the old and plugging in of the new cluster.then you go to the engine and replce to sensors and you are done.

This will give you an idea about the various years, but yes, I don't know that a YJ or TJ gauge is much like yours.

Guess what, it works!!!!

I just decided to go ahead and try them out since I had nothing better to do today. just had to unplug the old guage cluster and swap the new one in. turns out I'm less than 300 miles off my original with the new cluster, and everything seems to be in order. hardest part was getting the dash off.

Does it physically fit? How does it look?

It fits perfect, pluged right into the existing sockets, and everything fired right up as it should. I think it looks better and has a nice white cast as opposed to the green the other one had. It only took me about an hour, start to finish.

The remote starter, on the other hand.....
