I recently did a 3" lift to my '95 Cherokee and in the rear I went the cheap route and added a 3" block under the leaf springs with longer shocks (I bought this setup from ORW). Now whenever I go over the smallest bump something hits and makes a loud thumping noise. Anyone else have this problem with 3" suspension blocks or have any idea what might be the problem?

Anything over 1" you are asking FOR BIG TROUBLE!! Now if you wanna cruise the mall or something your fine. I have seen block after block break on the trails. I think the flexing gets to it and CRACK Stay away from blocks!!

Sounds like the shocks to me, my wife's XJ did it. Changed the shock and no banging. Depending on the shock it could have to much room in the bushing allowing the shock to hit the floor of the jeep, is the bushing worn out??. I would look there, also what did you use for shocks when you lifted it?? A good fix would be to invest in some BPEs Wink
