so soon im plannin' on upgrading to 33"s, i was wondering what would be needed to be done to the heep in order to lift it. i already got 3" on there, and i know how im gonna lift it further, but what else do i need to do? gears? axles? the little things that are usually included in bigger kits. i just dont wanna shell out 1500 for an RE lift kit when i can build my own for a fraction of the cost. thanks in advance

well you could get coil spacers & blocks to raise your xj up a little more. With some fender trimming you could get 33's. They would probably still rub when offroad. That would be the cheap route. Ohh yea brake lines...

To do it right, some would recommend...
gears
lockers
6" or 8" lift kit
SYE
Skid PLates
Roll Cage
Winch
and etc.

nono you misunderstood my question. to lift my jeep up to clear 33"s im gonna add s-10 leaves to my current leaf pack, minus the AAL, and in the front im gonna get spacers or coils, depending on what i can get my hands on at the time. im talkin' like new lca, t-case drop, shackles, i dunno you tell me, alls i knows is that RE kit has like 400001 little parts that i cant identify fromthat tiny picture... what else would i need?
