I notice that many people have a lot of the same issues with the Cherokee including the windows only working from the drivers side and the NSS issue.

I am stuck at this point on weather to continue building my rig or to just buy something different (a little encouragement). My Jeep looks good for a 94 but I have some rust thats almost all the way through on the floor boards on D and P side. My engine now Knocks like a M/F after I just replaced the timing chain. Why is that? Is it because there is now more stress on the cam or something (it sounds like diesel I HATE IT) It has 162K miles on it.

So please anyone comment and help me decide what to do. I currently have new brakes in front, new headunit and speakers. High flow intake, Borla catback w\ cat delete, stock header. I just did new water pump, timing chain, harmonice balancer (b/c it was junk), GDI 3 row all copper core radiator, high flow thermostat housing, Mr gasket balanced 180 degree thermostat, new hihg flow aluminum water pump, and have added a transmission coller from B&M I hope to have pictures shortly. I have no lift at this time b/c I dont know what to do. Dana 30 in front 35 in rear. AW4 tranny and NP231 T/case. Thanks for looking and your input.

Since you already have a good start, go ahead and fix this one.
When I buy ANY used car I consider it a starting point. I don't care what the mechanical issues are.
As far as your engine noise, did it sound like that before the chain????
If not, could you have got the cam timing off by one tooth and now it's detonating????
Just take a deep breath and have a beer. Fixing these is like eating an elephant------one bite at a time.
Good luck!
