Ok, we just got back from a week in Wisconsin. We rented a JEEP, ok so it was a Liberty! It did have nice pep and drove nice but suspension SUCKED, gas mileage SUCKED (at best was about 20 mpg) and it has NO ground clearance!

What are our plans for Flag Pole next Sunday?

Who's going?

Where are we meeting?

Lydia and her Boyfriend David are supposed to be riding with MJ and I so we are FULL, does Trevor have a ride?

Nope. Not that I know of. Altho, I did have some offers. It just depends on whose going. I'll be dedicated Photographer Mr. Green

-Trevor.

[edit] Wait a minute. I've got rescue diver training this weekend. I won't be going on the trail ride. Unless I've got the dates all crossed up.[/edit]

The XJ will be there and Jen will be there...the question mark is whether I'll be there. The TJ is still out of commission...I've found a few more symptoms, but I still don't have a clue what the root cause is. Confused

I spent this weekend mainly doing maintainence on the XJ...right now it and the Matrix are the only roadworthy vehicles (that I trust). So keeping them running took precedence...but the TJ is now in the garage. So I might pass on Flagpole and try to figure out WTF is going on with it.

I know the feeling, Jen. My Mutt is downstairs in the basement now. Everytime I look thru the garage door windows, I see those depressing sad headlamps gleaming back at me as if to say, "what did I do?" Sad

I'll have to talk to Jon, my SCUBA instructor as to what we're doing this weekend. If it is just classroom for Saturday, I'll be ready to go Sunday.

Thanks for the offer. If I'm able to go, I'll ride in the back seat. It's your jeep, you get the front. I'll probably be out of it as time as in it.

-Trevor

How about we meet at Sheetz and be ready to leave there no later than 9:30. We'll have lunch on top of Flag Pole Knob then either return the same way we went up or come down Skidmore.

OK, call me an IDIOT (many already have!) but which Sheetz? You have to spell it out (better yet, a map?) for the slower folks amongst us (me included!)

I have no idea where Flagpole is? Maybe I'm the only one (?)

Heck, even us folks from SC found Flagpole Peak! Smile Just kidding.
That was one of the first places the wife and I found after Camp Jeep '04. Lot's of fun up there in a thunder storm! Plenty of easy roads like Skidmore and Dunkle Hollow. Enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and think you'll have fun.

Around 17 miles outside of Harrisonburg on Hwy 33. Couldn't help ya on the Sheetz's thing.

It looks like I'm out of this trip. I'll be diving Sunday for the Rescue Diving course. You all have fun now.
