My AC the last two summers has not blown very cold. I have just put up with it and rolled down the windows not wanting to mess with it, but lately here in KS we have been hitting 110+ degree FA temps and I kinda want some AC. Smile Anyways, the AC does not blow hot, just not very cold. I read that if it was hot then it could be other problems, so I went and picked me up one of these:

The gauge says to measure it at temps between 75-85degrees FA for proper readings, so this morning I got up early and went and hooked it up.
I let the AC run for 3 min like it said to do, and hooked up the gauge. The condenser was kicking in like it should, and the needle would climb from about 25psi to 45psi when the condenser kicked in. When it shuts off, the needle drops back down.
Apparently that is 'normal AC fill' but the AC still doesn't blow that cold! What else could it be? Am I doing something wrong?

I know the heat that you are talking about....I too am in Kansas. Anyways...Did you actually release the coolant from the can. And did you hook it up to the A/C refill valve located near the passenger firewall. That's where it was on my 94 Jeep GC Laredo (Inline 6). I refilled it and the pressure did not change when the A/C kicked on. It worked for me...that's all I can say.
