My 4.7l 1999 Grand Cherokee does not have much air flowing through the defrost vents near the windshield. I noticed this first when it took about 15 minutes for windshiedl to defrost. I have taken the control module out and the colored vacuum lines look OK at the switch. Where do the colored tubes go? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Thanks.

When I was working on my radiator this weekend-noticed two vacuum lines, a black and a tan line, coming out of the firewall with the AC lines.
One had a hole in it and the other had been cut. The black one controls
the vent flow which is why air has been blowing out below the windshield
and not the dash vents for the past year.

The tan line went to a heater control valve on the heater hoses.

Confirmed all this today-but I 'm glad I don't have to deal with all the
junk under the dash-should be a simple fix patching up the lines.

The line that controls the vents goes from the firewall above the AC lines
and supposedly goes toward the front fender.

You may have to deal with the vacuum canisters below the dash-I just got lucky.

Checked firewall, did not find any broken or cracked hoses. All other vents work fine except defrost. Could it be the control module? How would I check it?
