Hello All:
I have a 95 GC Laredo 6 cyl. I noticed oil on my air filter. It seems to be coming from the line connected to the top center of the valve cover. Could this be due to the oil return ports being clogged in the head?

Thanks in advance

This article describes your problem I think? I know the Models Affected says - 1987-1990 Jeep Cherokee/Comanche

and yours is a 95 GC but it seems to be at least sort of "related". Part numbers may not be same but I think this gets you in the ballpark!

It seems to be a VERY COMMON occurrence. I hope I have not broken some Cardinal Sin by posting a link to another thread but it seems like a quick answer to your question . . . .

Thanks jppilot61 for the quick response.
I just bought this vehicle last year with 115k on it. I needed something to tow the boat I bought last year as well (1987 17.5' Blue-Fin Sportsman, 50 Force).
Both run and look great.
I just need to get another year out of it then maybe i will buy the Commander I test drove last weekend.
Great link by the way. Sounds like exactly the issue I have allthough the plumbing is slightly different on the 95.

Thanks again

The continuing saga:
I ran to NAPA on lunch and after looking through many catalogs the counter person said "we don't have it here but another NAPA down the road has it". tool
Off I go to the other one. The can't even find it in the catalogs, so they call the first guy and get the part# he found.
Out to the parking lot I go and pull what I thought was the PCV valve from the rear of the valve cover. Guess what ? It didn't look anything like what they sold me and to add insult to injury the rubber piece that connects the "PCV valve" to the vacuum line fell apart in my hands. pissed
Back in I go. Further research indicates that the 95 doesn't have a PCV valve just an elbow, with a little hole which was clogged, to the vacuum line. The guy at NAPA rigged up a connection with two different sizes of rubber hose, I cleaned out the clogged line and away I went. Cool Runs better. I am still not sure if the 95 has the PCV valve built in to the vavle cover as the older ones do. So if anyone knows for sure please let me know.
Alls well that ends well, but I will definately go to the second NAPA from here on out.
