Two questions about the stereo in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited... First does anyone know what size the dash speakers are as I have blown one and need to replace.

Also is it possible to run subs in this vehicle while keeping the stock CD player??

Thanks

Don't know the answer to the first question but should be able to find it at crutchfield.com

This should work for the sub install.

I would recomend getting an aftermarket sterio if you are getting new speakers. A new sterio will push more power, have better sound, and would eliminate the need for the line output converter. My head unit is a panasonic and it has lasted me for 5 years and I don't see changing it out in the near future. A very wise investment.

One problem that I ran into when I was trying to get new speakers for my '98 with the infinity sound system through Crutchfield, Hifi Buys, Circuit City, and Best Buy is that everyone assumes that the "stock" infinity system and amp pushes a very low OHM resistance level to achieve the higher output wattage at the cost of sound clarity. That supposedly is how the stock infinity products differ from the commercially available products. Noone has been able to give me the stock stereo specs at all for the 10 speaker infinity gold system- they've all recommended that I change out the entire audio system as opposed to just amp, head unit, or individual speakers. Therefore, I've just left it alone. But I hope you have better luck and let us know how it turns out.
