I have talked with several Jeep tech having worked at Jeep dealer for 4 years.
Myths or legend??
1) Remove the rear coolant switch from the back of the head and fill the
bottle and watch for coolant come out the switch hole?? Doesnt work!
2) Fill the bottle and let the system draw it in? Doesnt work the head gasket will go before the coolant gets to the engine!!
3) Loosen the bleed screw while filling?? Where the hell is that??
4) My own way is to take off the upper radiator hose and fill the radiator
thru the upper hose and watch coolant come out the thermostat housing.
BUT before installing the hose I put my mouth on the radiator hose and blow to my hearts content LOL (The wife wont kiss me if I tell her I did this). This will force any air out of the radiator or engine thru the thermostat housing. Sounds gross but seems to work. Just dont swallow the coolant.

The air should work its way out naturally as the fluid/air mixture cycles in and out of the overflow bottle.

I hate to necro this thread, but I've got the solution to bleeding the coolant system here (turn the heater on):
