----YESTERDAY----
Hey guys I recently embarked on the 2.5 to 4.0 swap as some of you know, well in short the 4.0 that i got and hooked all up and made ready to run had a crack in the block where the coolant is stored. well i fired it anyways and after a few clicks it fired over and ran pretty much fine....well being the crack i needed another 4.0 block.

I got another block from a friend, and just finished up the 4.0 to 4.0 swap today filled it all up and went to crank it, well it took alot of cranks but fired over and ran BUT only for about 3 to 5 seconds then it shuts off....doesnt sputter or anything just dies. If you try to push the throttle in the 3 to 5 second run it kills it immediently. SO in need of help what would cause it to not continue to run.

Keep in mind that the 1st 4.0 put in ran fine but it did take a couple cranks to fire it over also. The intake manifold and throttle body are the same from the 1st 4.0, i put them on the 2nd 4.0 block.

I have tried.....
-another Automatic Shutdown Relay
-i took the ICS off the throttle body and it had alot of carbon on it so i cleaned it and put it back on
-different spark plugs

Sorry for so long but i need help on this i have searched for help on this subject but couldnt find any with my exact prob. Thanks GUYS for any help!!!

----TODAY---
well guys as of this morning when i tried to fire the jeep up it would just crank and crank but never fire over, i replaced today..
-CPS sensor
-fuel filter
-different spark plug wires

What would cause this i am not understanding why is cranking but not fireing, aslo why would it run for 5 seconds yesterday but not at all today. its getting fuel becasue you can smell it and here the fuel pump turn on. WHAT could it be!! i really need help guys!

?? you dont think bad gas would cause it to not fire up at all do you??

ok guys i took each spark plug out today one at a time and had somebody crank it, and each plug was sparking! also each plug smelled like gas so the gas and spark are happening but something is not letting it fire..... do you think it could be the IAC on the throttle body, i took it out and cleaned it up, now is it supposed to move during the cranking because its not and if it is supposed to then maybe that why its not fireing yall let me know...

btw it has not fired and ran for those 5 seconds since the block was swaped on sat, it just cranks but wont fire and run

I read about the IAC on the throttle body, in the Factory Service Manual and it says that the little IAC motor should set it self up when turned to run (the prong should move) well i took the IAC off the throttle body and had somebody turn it to run while the IAC was still wired and it did NOT move....... so is it that sensor is the IAC bad???
