The 242 and 231 share the same bolt pattern. The input shaft may be different than other trannys used but I doubt it. If it is drivetrain.com will customize it for you.

the only years that i believe the input shaft size was different was back between uhm 91 and earlier , i remember because when i put my 242 (got rid of the 231 , well its sitting around with a transmission hooked to it because its brand new )in i had to swap the tranny with it . so you should be okay with the same years .
