I Have a 91 4.0 It had been sitting for 6 months While i was converting the nose to a cj. I went to fire it up today. It sounded like it was gointo start but was getting no fuel, put some fuel in the throtle body it ran for 10 sec. So i know i had spark and it was goin to run. I Checked my relay for the fuel pump and its working, I also have power at the fuel pump. So i replaced the Pump. The pump still will not operate, I used a test light i have power at the pump. so i checked the new pump by putting two wires directly to it from the battery sure enough it works and the original works two. I am totally baffled by this Does anyone have any suggestions, Thanks

You had it sitting idle for six months. You might need to drain the old
gas out and fill with new. Are your lines clear of any obstacles, rust, etc?
Cheers,
F

It sat for a while, how about the fuel filter? make sure it is getting by. Also check the ground for the fuel pump. It is found on a 91 at the E brake front attaching bracket at the front of the dash. Make sure it is tight and getting a good connection.
