I am thinking of buying a 95 YJ. Here are the stats:

-2.5, I4
-upgraded intake, exhaust, throttle body, and clutch
-black body and hard top
-body is clean except for one small rust spot on back and the hood is fading a bit
-65,000 miles
-4 inch suspension, 2 inch shackle, 1 inch body
-33x12.5 thornbirds
-frame is solid, shows only surface rust
-no leaks
-quick release sway bars

Does anyone think this is worth about $6000. I am about to trade my daily driver Eclipse for it. Let me know!

Thanks!!

Did you drive it yet? My guess is with 33's you'll find it underpowered...especially after owning an eclipse (IMO). $6k sounds a bit high to me given you can typically pick up a decent TJ (stock) for $6k +. But that's just my initial thoughts.

Good luck.

it sounds nice but not for 6 Grand i would try too talk them down to at least 5,000 but it is really not worth more than 4,500 for the age and model

I have driven 4cyl lifted jeeps without gears, after having driven my 6cyl one.

There is a night an day difference. I would spend some time and find a 6cyl FI (91+) model.

Building it to that stage is pretty simple, and you will be much happier with a 6cyl

It doesn't sound like 6000 is a very good deal
I have been shoping for jeeps for the past four months and at this price I think you could do a lot better

I have a 2.5L and 33s on my Jeep, and it really has no power. If I ever got it up to 55mph, I was thrilled; it top normal speed was about 45-50 and I still had to fight to get that much. Albeit, the engine in mine was/is crap (I have a thread about it dying on this forum), and I'm about to put a remanufactured 2.5 in there. Still, if you can, get a 6cyl like the other guys say.
