my girlfriend has a 98 grand with a 4.0/auto. it recently started bogging/stalling, and she noticed the lights dimming off and on as this was happening. she brought it to a garage, where they changed the battery??? needless to say, this didn't fix the problem. i found that the ignition rotor was dusty and dirty, so i replaced it, which fixed the problem for about 3 days. then, the same thing happened, and the computer threw a p0132-oxygen-o2-sensor-circuit-high-voltage-bank-1-sensor code... checked the rotor, which i had replaced 3 days ago, and it looked exactly like the first one did... i cleaned the dust off the rotor, and it started running fine again, so i'm thinking there must be something causing it to foul, but i have absolutely no idea what that could be... i guess i should check the o2 sensor? anybody have any idea what could cause the rotor to become worn and dusty in only a few days? any thoughts on this would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

Have the altenator tested. Dim lights, running rough=bogus altenator.
