I wanna paint my valve cover to match my Jeep. I would like to paint it solid red but it would be kinda dull. I think painting it red and then taking a rag damp with paint thinner over the fins on top to expose some black might look good since the Jeep is red with black trim...I'm out of ideas though, what do you guys think?

I not sure but Iím guessing itís a stamped steel so sanding it down, cleaning it real well and using a good high temp primer and good engine paint should do the trick
